We serve as a bridge between the research and policy communities by helping to ensure that research results are understood and used. We believe that information empowers individuals and institutions to make better policy decisions about population, health, and the environment. We have more than 30 years of experience in developing countries.

PRB's International Programs focus on advancing population and health policies and programs for the developing world. We draw on technical approaches that advance understanding of key issues. Each approach and topic listed below is described more fully in the attached factsheets.

Through our work, we aim to:
- Place and maintain key issues on the policy agenda, both globally and in specific countries.
- Create and strengthen coalitions to broaden political support for sustainable programs.
- Ensure that accurate, up-to-date information is used to improve policy and program decisions.
- Maximize investments in data collection efforts by expanding the outreach and use of new information through multiple formats and channels.
- Build individual and institutional capacity to use information for policymaking to develop long-term practical solutions to key population, health, and environment issues.
- Promote gender equity in policy and program development.
International Programs Highlights: The Population Reference Bureau provides periodic highlights of recent activities among its portfolio of projects. We greatly value all of our sponsors and strive to highlight the newest and most recent project activities. However, we will not likely report on all projects in every edition.
