How Sustainable is Too Sustainable? Lessons from a Year Implementing a Pilot Mobile-Based GBV Referral System

Posted on July 5, 2017

Presentation Summary: This presentation goes over lessons learned from a year long pilot of a mobile-based GBV referral system in Bostwana led by MEASURE Evaluation.

Presented at: Using Technology to Combat GBV – New Innovations, New Opportunities –  June 29,2017

Presented by: Jennifer Curran is currently a M&E Technical Specialist at MEASURE Evaluation in Chapel Hill, NC.  Over the past four years, she has been working in Botswana to develop and implement a mobile phone-based gender-based violence referral system with the Government of Botswana’s Ministry of Immigration, Nationality and Gender Affairs through MEASURE Evaluation.  This latest project combines her passion for addressing GBV, her love of Southern Africa and fledgling knowledge of Setswana, and her desire to find innovative and sustainable solutions for improving quality of health care around the world.
